So you're thinking about getting married. Here is some information which might be helpful to you.

We believe God calls us to be an inclusive community of faith. We welcome requests to be married at Crescent, regardless of membership status or sexual orientation.

We think it's important that wedding services performed at Crescent are Christian in nature and content. We are happy to assist you with your wedding plans and preparation for a Christian wedding.

Our Minister will conduct your wedding. Occasional exceptions may be made in consultation with the Minister.

In order to get married at Crescent United you will need to:

  • Obtain a Wedding License
  • Complete a marriage preparation course or process as discussed with the minister. Marriage Works Canada is  recognized by Crescent United and offers programmes in the Lower Mainland . Check out their website here.
  • Attend a minimum of two Sunday Worship Services prior to the wedding service in order to receive the support of the congregation.

Our Wedding Host will assist the wedding party, congregation and the Minister on the wedding day, and may also conduct the rehearsal.

We know Photographs are an important way to remember your wedding day. Photos may be taken before and after the service, as the wedding party enters the Church, and during the signing of the register. Photographs are not permitted during the service. If any other photographs or video photography are desired, arrangements must be discussed in advance with the minister.

For more information, or to set up an appointment, contact the Minister.
