How Peninsula UC is dealing with COVID-19

Peninsula United Church is following the guidelines of the Pacific Mountain Regional Church, B.C. Ministry of Health and WorkSafe B.C. to ensure the safety of our staff, congregation and visitors.

Small group gatherings are held at the Crescent, Sunnyside and Third Space sites following the protocols set out by the Covid-19 Safety Team.

Access to the church buildings is restricted at this time. Those who need to visit the office or need access to the buildings are asked to make an appointment by phone 604 531-2979 or email nikkie@peninsulaunited.com and are asked to wear a mask when they enter the building.  To ensure the safety of everyone, please respect the protocols posted on the doors and inside the building entrances. Staff will be at the office from 9 am to noon on Tuesdays and 11 am to 2 pm on Thursdays.  Calls outside of those hours will be returned on a timely basis.

We are guided by the advice of Dr. Bonnie Henry, our chief medical officer, who reminds us that we have a significant duty of care and advocates that we do not take unnecessary risks.  We are a people of faith and like the disciples, we are called to trust that God is leading us as we make decisions about how to gather as the Body of Christ.
