The grace and peace of Christ be with you. We are living in unusual times and our United Church Creed reminds us that we don't need to be afraid because, "We are not alone; we live in God's world."

Following the directive of our wonderful Provincial Medical Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry and the recommendation of the Pacific Mountain Region, we will not meet for Sunday Services or other church meetings or events at any of our sites for the foreseeable future. AND We know that the church is not a building but the people of God. Thanks to technology and the Holy Spirit we can be the church in new ways. We will continue to worship, connect, pray and serve, but in different ways.

We are currently working on alternative ways to be the church including:

  • Staying in touch with each by phone and the internet.
  • Offering prayer and worship opportunities both through the internet and by phone.
  • Enhancing our various electronic communications.

Please visit our Facebook page and web site regularly for updates.

If you are not already on our email contact list, please contact the office (office@peninsulaunited.com) or click here to be added to our email list.

Office Closed But Working

The office and ThirdSpace will be closed for the foreseeable future but we are all available by phone and email. Joanne Feuer and Beth Henderson will continue to be working as our very capable office administrators. Nikkie Ripka, our ThirdSpace Admin Assistant will also be on duty on her usual days (Wed - Fri), working from home. Further info coming soon!

Lets Stay Connected

Kathy Matusiak has organized a phone tree so we can stay in touch, starting with folks who don't have email. Please let her know if you would like to help.

Our prayer ministry continues as usual and our congregational care visitors will continue to visit folks by phone. We are organizing volunteers to help with grocery shopping and prescription pickup and delivery. More information coming soon.

We will be staying connected through email weekly so please check it regularly and we are happy to hear from you by email as well. Please share with us how you are staying connected, helping each other and experiencing grace in the midst of these trying and unusual times!

We Live in Hope We know that many things are being cancelled and we are sad and disappointed about that, but, remember this...

Love will not be cancelled

Conversations will not be cancelled

Relationships will not be cancelled

The beauty of Spring will not be cancelled

Songs will not be cancelled

Reading will not be cancelled

Self-care will not be cancelled

Hope will not be cancelled

Add some of your own!

___________________ will not be cancelled ...

And may we lean into the love and goodness of God,

which will never be cancelled!

We look forward to being the church with you in this new way trusting in the power of God's loving Spirit that unites us.

In Peace,

Rev. Bruce and Rev. Janice
