Nice to meet you…
Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? We want you to feel comfortable when you visit. So, whether you're new to our church, or new to church altogether, we'd love to get to know you better.
Below are some frequently asked questions. If you would like additional information, contact us at 604.531.2979 or [email protected].
When are the services?
- Join us for worship on Sundays at 10:00 am. These services typically last about 75 minutes.
- Café Church is at 10:00 am at the George Street Site. This service lasts about 45 minutes.
- Other services (Contemplative Prayer, Morning Prayer...) are scheduled seasonally throughout the year. Check the Weekly Calendar of Events to see if one of these special services is being offered.
What should I wear?
Be comfortable, come as you are. Dress up, dress casual, you will see a variety of styles here and all are welcome. We are thrilled that you are joining us. You will fit in no matter how you choose to dress.
What should I expect?
You are welcome here no matter what your faith background. We take the Bible seriously but not literally. We welcome open minds, open hearts and have a willingness to join others in growing and expanding our understanding of God's word through prayer, music and reflection.
Will I be asked to give money?
As a church family we give joyfully and willingly as part of our weekly worship but as a visitor, we don’t expect you to give money. If you consider Peninsula United your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider contibuting to the life and work of the church. You can give by cheque or cash or set up a Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) by contacting the church office.
