In 2022, Peninsula United Church completed our Identity Document, a culmination of years of reflection and projects like TAMBO (“That All May Be One”) and Appreciative Inquiry. This document outlines our Purpose, Values, Aspiration, Affirming Statement, and Mission. It serves as a guide for our congregation's decision-making on important matters going forward.

Purpose

We are called to follow the way of Jesus, open ourselves to the Spirit, and make known God’s transforming love.

Vision

Peninsula United Church is a growing, vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming Christian community, flourishing in the light of Christ and serving our neighbour.

Mission

Our mission is to grow in faith, to seek justice, reconciliation and healing for our world, to practice boundless hospitality, and to be a strong pastoral presence for one another and our neighbours.

Values

Love, Faith, Hope, Community, Compassion, Inclusion, Generosity, Stewardship, Justice and Action

Affirming Statement

We affirm the inclusion and belonging of all people in the Peninsula United Community of Faith, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability, ethnicity or identity.

Motto

Called to Care

Ministry Priorities for 2025

Faith: To follow in the way of Jesus in prayer, study and action; learning more about our
Christian faith, Biblical scripture, history and healing.

Service: To care for members’ needs and those of the wider community with our gifts, assets, and resources.

Engagement: To actively engage our members in the life of the church, welcoming and building relationships with the broader community.

At Peninsula United Church, we prioritize sustainability by giving back more than we consume.

Join us in living our Mission and Vision, whether at Sunday worship or during our weekly gatherings. Everyone is welcome!
