Peninsula United Church is seeking a full-time Administrative Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our church community during an 18-month maternity leave coverage term.
This role is central to the life and functioning of the church, overseeing administrative systems, communications, rentals, technology coordination, and staff support. The position works closely with church leadership and operates with a high degree of autonomy, organization, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Position Details
- Position: Administrative Operations Manager
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (35 hours/week)
- Term: 18-month maternity leave coverage
- Salary: $30–35/hour
- Benefits: United Church of Canada benefits after three months
About the Role
The Administrative Operations Manager supports many aspects of church life, including:
- Coordinating administrative and office operations
- Supporting church communications, newsletters, website, and social media
- Managing building rentals and relationships with external groups
- Supervising administrative and custodial staff
- Maintaining records, databases, and internal systems
- Assisting with meetings, agendas, reports, and governance support
We are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic community environment.
Experience with office administration, communications platforms, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, databases, websites, and social media is considered an asset.
