Reflection Questions & Prayer Prompts

Receiving the kin(g)dom with joy

How might your life look different if you truly believed it is “God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”? What fears or attachments might lose their grip on you?

God of abundance, help me to trust that you delight in giving us the kin(g)dom. Free me from the fears and attachments that keep me clinging to what fades, and fill my heart with joy in the treasures that last.

Generosity in action

Jesus says, “Sell your possessions, and give alms.” What is one concrete, tangible way you could practice generosity this week that moves beyond giving from your surplus?

Generous One, open my hands and my heart. Show me one specific thing I can release this week—whether a possession, my time, or my resources—that could bring life to someone else.

Caritas as a way of life

Caritas is more than charity—it’s a mindset that sees and values people for who they are. How could adopting this mindset change the way you respond to poverty, injustice, and inequality in your community?

Spirit of love, shape in me the mindset of caritas. Teach me to see others as you see them, and to respond to need with compassion and courage, even when it challenges my comfort or my assumptions.
