Justice and Service Updates:
Emergency Weather Shelter (updated April 25, 2022)
Permanent Solution Needed
The more than 2,100 guest visits to the Emergency Weather Shelter this past winter demonstrate the urgent need for a permanent 24/7 shelter on the Peninsula. We're committed to local advocacy so that those experiencing homelessness can have a home and support. Please contact Kathy Booth at 604-535-0723 / kathy.booth@hotmail.com if you would like to join us!
Community Dinners
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the search for a site for the Community Dinners will not continue at this time. Many thanks to Donna Roy for all her efforts to try locate a site. The search will continue when it is considered safe to offer these meals. If you would like to volunteer for a local organization delivering meals to folks in White Rock and South Surrey, please contact Kathy Booth. Several people from the congregations are volunteering for this important ministry.
Tierra Nueva - our Sister Community in El Salvador:
Cheryl Lightowlers maintains weekly contact with the community through email and learns of their many challenges including a lack of necessary food items and transportation.
We need your prayers and welcome your questions for all this Missional and Ecumenical work of the church.
Please contact Kathy Booth kathy.booth@hotmail.com for further information.
